Ice Cold Review

Ice Cold

Summary
T-FLAC operative Rafael Navarro will never allow another woman to suffer the consequences of his dangerous life. But in a world where a terrorist can do more damage with a keyboard than a bomb, he needs the expert help of a cyber-geek. And fast.

Fellow operative, and cybercrimes specialist Honey Winston prefers computers to people. But when a serial bomber threatens the world’s financial infrastructure, she’s forced to work closely with Navarro, whose notorious skill in the bedroom is as legendary as his dexterity defusing bombs.

Honey and Rafael must fight sparks hot enough to melt their resolve, and push beyond fear itself, as they join forces in a bid to race the clock before a sinister and lethal bomber proves just how much they both have to lose.

T-FLAC is back, and the timer is counting down in the most pulse-pounding explosive op yet

What I Loved
Characters
Rafael: Usually I'm not a fan of the cocky male characters that like to sleep around with woman, but I actually did really like him. It mentions his reputation as the 'Spanish Stallion', but he doesn't read like that type of guy. Thankfully.
Honey: At first I wasn't so sure about her character, the 'Ice Princess', but same thing as I went through the book and her history and her personality really opens up and unfolds. By the end I loved her strength and her character's kick ass attitude.
Steamy Action
As usual to all of Cherry's books a healthy dose of ass kicking, bullets flying, bombs blowing up and mix that with hot, steamy romance and you get one hell of an exciting book from start to finish. The book does start of with a fight scene and then jump right into the characters attraction. What is not to love about Cherry's books!
Rotating Point of View
We do get to read from both Honey and Rafael's perspective. Which I really do enjoy, we get to read their mixed up feeling and how they handle things. It just is done perfectly.
T-FLAC World
So this book is actually labeled in Goodreads as number 15 in the T-FLAC series, but it is written to be completely independent, it is just written in the T-FLAC word that Cherry has created. I haven't read most of the T-FLAC series, but I didn't feel lost at all for not having read them. I think there is probably things that have been explained in more detail in earlier books, but I don't feel that it hindered my enjoyment or understanding of the book at all.

Didn't Love
I would have loved at least one more chapter at the end. I'm a greedy reader and I want more of these two, I'm hoping they will make a cameo in another book.

Recommendation
If you have or have never read a Cherry Adair book you should read this especially if you like romance and suspense. A read that is completely worth it.

Relentless Review

Relentless

Summary
An Ancient Legacy

Lately, the gods are not smiling on Isis Magee. How else can she explain the bizarre events that have led her on a relentless high-stakes chase from Seattle to London to Cairo in search of the elusive tomb of history’s beautiful and enigmatic queen Cleopatra?

A Hidden Treasure

Isis has only two leads: a fragmented trail of clues offered in rare moments of lucidity by her father, a once-respected archaeologist whose last dig ended in disaster, and the unique sixth sense of sexy Lodestone agent Connor Thorne.

The Passion of a Lifetime

Connor also encountered tragedy in the Egyptian desert not long ago, and as Isis pulls him deeper into her mission to restore her father’s reputation, he is secretly plotting a revenge of his own. Propelled across wild, untamed sands by vicious unknown forces, the duo is seduced into a labyrinth of secret chambers. When they fear they can go no further, they surrender to their incendiary desires and discover that the prize each separately seeks may be waiting at the end of the same dangerous road.

What I Loved
Characters
Isis: Love her name, but I also love that she is a photographer, made me really want to go out and do some photography as well. Anyways, she is a fun character, I can completely respect her desire to help prove her father right.
Connor: Another brooding sexy man wonderfully created by Cherry. British, who doesn't love a sexy British man. Can kick some major ass and of course add a little bit of broken and you got the perfect romance man.
Romance
As usual to Cherry's wonderful books, always full of steamy, dirty (in this case), sexy romance and sex. Two great fitting characters that compliment each other wonderfully.
Suspense
And of course another perfect Cherry book wouldn't be completely without plenty of gun shooting, car chasing, hand to hand combat, life and death situations all in the exciting and dusty city of Egypt. Which I've always been a bit fascinated and in awe of Egypt's ancient beauty and mystery.

Didn't Like
I really wish there would have been one more chapter of wrapping things up, I know the wrap of stuff would have all been implied stuff but I still would have loved to have read it anyways.

Recommendation
Must read for those romance readers that love a good exciting fast pace book.

Vortex Review

Vortex
Vortex (Cutter Cay, #3)
Summary
Cherry Adair plunges into a world of high-sea adventure and romance, where a long-lost treasure is a deadly lure—and love is the most dangerous current of all…

SWEPT AWAY
Searching for a sunken ship off the coast of Peru, treasure hunter Logan Cutter manages to pull a very different kind of prize from the sea — beautiful mystery woman Daniela Rosada. Dani claims she has no memory of how she ended up lost at sea. But with millions of dollars in treasure at stake, Logan suspects she's not telling him the truth...and he's right.

IN TOO DEEP
Dani has good cause to hide the facts from Logan. If he knew her real reason for being onboard his ship, he'd throw her back overboard in a heartbeat. But the closer they get, the deeper she falls for him - and the more he lowers his own powerful defenses. Little do they both know that by falling in love, they've set a course for disaster...

What I Loved
Series
This is the third book in the series, but they are individually written enough that they don't necessarily need to be read in order. I enjoy series that have siblings and each books we get their story and their love affair.
Characters
Daniela: First off I want to say that I love her name, why do I love it? Well this is my sister's name and it is spelled the same way as well, it isn't a very common name and love seeing it in a book. I also do love her character as well, she is strong, resilient and a survivor. I like that she continually tries to fight back even when the odds are completely stacked against her.
Logan: The oldest Cutter brother with magnificent blue eyes and we finally get to know Logan or Wolf as he is also known as. I love his character, I think he might be my favorite brother out of the three so far. I like that he is the strong quiet type of guy. He is sexy as hell, but he has a great sense of duty, trust and honesty that I really like about him.
Romance
Once again Cherry has delivered a hot, steamy, sexy romance tension with action, fighting and killing. Neither the romance nor the action disappoint at any moment in the book.

Didn't Like
Well . . . nothing really. Enjoyed and loved it all.

Recommendation
A must read for romanctic suspense readers. Even though there isn't a paranormal element (my favorite) in the book it still was a fantastic pleasure read.

Afterglow Review

Afterglow

Summary
Pleasure with a price.
A high-profile celebrity wedding in Monaco is the kind of A-list event security specialist Rand Maguire excels at. Everything goes like clockwork, until guests start inexplicably losing all their inhibitions. . . .
Painful secrets from the past.
Rand is no stranger to the effects of Rapture. His chemist father’s attempt at a cure for depression caused Rand’s mother’s death years ago, and put his father away for her murder. Now, someone is circulating Rapture in a campaign of terror, intending to manufacture and sell it on a global scale. But with no leads, Rand feels the heat.
Passion with no limits.
Sexy Lodestone agent Dakota North is sent to help Rand kickstart his search, armed only with her uncanny sixth-sense. But what they discover in their race across Europe is more far-reaching and lethal than an erotic street drug. From a Barcelona bank heist to a million-dollar arms deal in Paris, Dakota and Rand giving in to an insatiable craving for each other in nights of pure carnal delight, no senses left untouched. No Rapture necessary.

What I Loved
Characters
Rand: Cherry has created another wonderful sexy male character. This guy was a Hollywood stunt double turned security guard business owner for the Hollywood elite. Not only is he good looking but he has a lot of survival fighting and escape skills that help them out along the way.
Dakota aka Dr. North: At first when Rand sees her he has this intense venomous hatred towards her and I didn't like her. It took getting to know her and hearing her side of the story to like her. Once I read more about her I really did end up liking her a lot. Strong female character who was wrongly accused and stands her ground well when hurtful accusations were flung at her.
Steamy Romance
Typically in romance books you get the first time meeting for the new couple, but for this story we get to meet them when they meet each other after being broken up for 2 year. Their breakup was vicious and hurtful with lots of accusations thrown at Dakota and her not getting the chance to tell her side of the story. Even though they had this horrible ending their feeling never went away for each other. Their is passion and the mental desire to stay away from one another but their bodies don't agree.
Rapture
An addictive, deadly, lower inhibition, powerful sex drug. This thing is nothing to mess with, it can cause sweet grandma to have sex with the 20 year old and with the wrong dose it will kill. Rapture cannot get out into the drug market and be used by terrorist to kill masses of people.
Action
Find the person who has stolen the formula to Rapture which was suppose to have been destroyed years ago in the fire. Figure out who is trying to frame Dakota. Not get killed by the people they are searching for. Destroy the supply and supplier of Rapture. This books was action packed with actual action and bedroom action, never a dull moment.
Sixth Sense
No not the "I see dead people" sense, but she is able to find alive people by holding an object of theirs. A little touch of the unreal to add to the book.
POV
The books switched back and forth between Rand and Dakota. I love this because we get to know both of their stories and feeling.

Didn't Like
What was there not to like about this book. Okay I will nitpick and say I was surprised that the police never interfered with their search. They had one close call but even at that they easily avoided it.

Recommendation
Must read for any romance read. Even though it is book 2 in the series it could be read individually and out of order. Sexy and hot as hell, not for the faint of heart.

Riptide Review

Riptide

Summary
SHE'S SWEPT INTO TREACHEROUS WATERS
Princess Bria Visconti demands the return of the money her brother rashly invested in Cutter Salvage. Treasure hunter Nick Cutter is too reckless, too arrogant—and far too handsome—for his own good. But he can’t charm his way out of this one. Bria plans to make Nick pay up even if she has to board his boat, don a wet suit, and dive for the treasure herself…

HE FIGHTS THE RELENTLESS PULL
Nick sees Bria as a beautiful but spoiled princess who’s never done a day’s work in her pampered life. But once they set sail for the dive site, and the legendary fortune in gold the wreck carries, Nick begins to see Bria in a new light. This princess may be out of her depth, but she’s ready to take on the hidden danger and excitement a treasure hunt stirs to the surface. Together they must fight unexpected enemies—and reveal their darkest secrets—before they’re pulled into a rip current of danger.

What I Loved
Another Cutter Brother
I do love it when books follow a set of siblings and each book features the next sibling. These Cutter men are so delicious, ripped, tanned, dark hair and have these amazing blue eyes.
Nick aka Spock: Yes he is nicknamed Spock because he lack of emotions and cool exterior. I personally like him a little more than Zane (the brother from bk 1 Undertow), Zane is a fun guy but I really love the broody type that likes to keep their emotions very controlled. Nick also has some other really amazing talents and he does some undercover work as well too due to his ability to place accents and speak like 6 languages. What a man!!
Bria aka Princess Gabriella: Where Nick is cool Bria is fiery. She is a very fun character a little vixen that is use to getting her way, but she also knows how to kick some ass when she needs too. Not a little whiny princess at all, she can take a few punches and deal with it all.
Romance
Oh Cherry, boy can she write some amazing steamy scenes. These two are amazing for each other and the provide a lot of entertainment with just their interactions with each other.
Action
Along with the bedroom action there is plenty of near death action, bullets flying, rocking falling and blood diamonds.

What I Didn't Like
. . . I still can't think of anything.

Undertow Review

Undertow
Summary
SHE TAKES THE PLUNGE.
Teal Williams is content with her career as a ship’s master mechanic—until Zane Cutter, the “Casanova of the Caribbean,” makes her an offer she can’t refuse: to climb on board with him for a real-life treasure hunt. Teal must help him dredge up a shipwrecked vessel containing an abundance of gold, silver, and emeralds—and she’ll claim part of the prize.
HE’S BLOWN OFF COURSE.
Zane needs a mechanic—not a lover—and Teal, who can also dive, is perfect for the job. So it suits him just fine that Teal is completely immune to his charms…or so he tells himself. But with a deadly enemy in their midst—one who’s silently edging closer—Zane and Teal sink into troubled waters. Trapped in the middle of a perilous sea, they have no one to turn to but each other as they face down a danger that runs unfathomably deep—and a passion that runs even deeper…

What I Loved
Characters
Teal: She is a pretty awesome character, she may have some social interaction issues but I love how witty and quick she is. Teal is a female mechanic and since there are so few of those in the romance world I just loved that about her. Teal's willingness to confide and open up about her hard life is memorable. Her name is odd and unique, but it completely fits her.
Zane: At first I was not completely in love with him, I personally don't care much for the Casanovas types and his nickname is "Casanova of the Caribbean". As more of his personality was revealed I really did come to love him.
Romance
I LOVE their type of courtship. I love it when the woman does not instantly fall for his charms and will keep pushing back and he lays the sex appeal on thick. The tug of war relationships are always so entertaining and especially with a man who is use to getting every girl he wants and the one girl he can't have is the one he wants the most. LOVE IT! Yes the romance is steamy.
At Sea Action
I'm not much of a sea person, I'm not a strong swimmer and I don't think I am capable of scuba diving at all, but with all the beauty and awesome treasure they were finding I really wish I was able to do both of those things. The story has love, lust, treasure seeking, pirates, guns blazing and all the action you would expect to come from Cherry's books.

My Only Qualm
I thought bullets didn't go very far when shooting into the water, nor do they shoot well underwater? I'm not a gun expert and I don't really care how accurate this really is since the book is a creation of fiction. It did however make for some exciting underwater action scenes.

Recommendation
Like romantic suspense, got to read this series.
