Dark Days Tour Leg 2

Dark Days Tour 2013
Leg 2

Spellcaster by Claudia Gray
Requiem by Lauren Oliver
Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza
Fragments by Dan Wells
Mind Games by Kiersten White

I have been looking forward to this event the first day I found out they were coming here. I was also a little nervous because it was the first big event I would be taking Melia my daughter with me, thankfully my husband was able to come with me and help out when I needed. We ended up being a little late because I was waiting for Spellcaster to be delivered to my door, but it didn't get here in time so I had to leave without it. Then when I was almost there I forgot my ARC of Mind Games, sadness!

During the event I was only partially listening, I was trying to keep the daughter happy and not getting upset. But as the line started forming I just decided to wait and chat with the other bloggers I hadn't seen for months.

 Dan Wells
I told Dan I was listening to Partials while I was pregnant and I almost stopped reading it because of the book being about babies dying hours after birth. So he signed his prescription card saying Melia does NOT have RM.

Debra Driza

All in all the event was fun and Melia did really well. I had to have her in all the photos with the authors, I would have loved to have taken more but I was a little busy with Melia and chatting.

Bookography (34)

Bookography

Bookography is a fun new way to share the beauty of books with photography. Take a picture with the book being the focus or inspiration and share the picture(s) you have created for the week.

Book
Hourglass by Claudia Gray
Hourglass

I had attempted this concept a few months ago, but I wasn't liking how it was coming out. This concept I like much more, originally I had the book standing up with the hourglass in front. This works much better. The hourglass I happened across while shopping at Ross, when I saw it I just had to have it for this specific picture.

Post processing was basic, I just brightened the photo a little and saturated the yellow of the table to really draw your eyes to the hourglass.

If you would like to participate please do. I will post my Bookography post each week on Wednesdays. I would love if you would link back to my blog and share your own link in the comments.
