Dark Days Tour Leg 2

Dark Days Tour 2013
Leg 2

Spellcaster by Claudia Gray
Requiem by Lauren Oliver
Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza
Fragments by Dan Wells
Mind Games by Kiersten White

I have been looking forward to this event the first day I found out they were coming here. I was also a little nervous because it was the first big event I would be taking Melia my daughter with me, thankfully my husband was able to come with me and help out when I needed. We ended up being a little late because I was waiting for Spellcaster to be delivered to my door, but it didn't get here in time so I had to leave without it. Then when I was almost there I forgot my ARC of Mind Games, sadness!

During the event I was only partially listening, I was trying to keep the daughter happy and not getting upset. But as the line started forming I just decided to wait and chat with the other bloggers I hadn't seen for months.

Claudia Gray

 Lauren Oliver

 Kiersten White

 Dan Wells
I told Dan I was listening to Partials while I was pregnant and I almost stopped reading it because of the book being about babies dying hours after birth. So he signed his prescription card saying Melia does NOT have RM.

Debra Driza

All in all the event was fun and Melia did really well. I had to have her in all the photos with the authors, I would have loved to have taken more but I was a little busy with Melia and chatting.

Girls' Nightmare Out Tour

Tour by Tor
at Third Place Books
on August 23, 2012

Authors
Kendare Blake of Girl of Nightmares
Lisa Desrochers of Last Rite
also joining the Seattle stop Amanda Hocking of Wake
Marta Acosta of Dark Companion

Before the event blogger Benji set up a dinner with Kendare, Lisa, Marta, a local publicist, me and blogger Rachel. Traffic was terrible at 5pm of course and all of us bloggers were late. Rachel wasn't even able to make it at all, so sad. The rest of us had a lot of fun though, it was nice just to talk to the authors about anything. We talked about The Hunger Games, things that scare us etc. It was a blast and I would love to do it again with another group of authors. Being a blogger has some fun perks.

Leading the discussion was Bill Kenower from Author Magazine where he does interviews with authors called Author2Author. He was a bit late so initially the event was started off with one of the Third Place Books event coordinators leading the discussing and then being passed off to Bill for the remainder of the time.

We did a fun author blogger photo, all the authors put a hand on one of our shoulders, it was entertaining
Benji of The Non Reluctant Reader
Anna of Peace, Love, Teen Fiction
Pregnant me
Rachel of Beauty and the Bookshelf

Another fun event, they keep on getting more and more fun the more bloggers I'm able to meet and chat with at the event.

Fierce Reads Tour Recap

Fierce Reads Tour
Event Recap
The Picture Edition
June 9th 2012
Third Place Book in Lake Forest Park

Pre-Event Dinner
Before the event two other bloggers Benji, Sarah and I had dinner and chatted about books. This was really fun and I'm so glad Benji suggested it. I hope I can do this more often for other events in the future.
Me, Benji & Sarah

Benji being a good sport so I could set up my camera and flash for the event

The Event
I love multi author events, they are always so much fun, especially when the authors have already had a few tour stops together and you can really see their fun dynamic playing off of each other. There was lots of laughs throughout the entire event and I had an absolute blast. I won't be posting about any of the Q&A topics, too much to try and remember from this awesome event. Some of the other blogger recaps did post  the info, you can find the links to their posts at the bottom of the post. I on the other hand captured lots of fun pictures.

Lish McBride, Marissa Meyer, Leigh Bardugo, Jennifer Bosworth, Anna Banks & Emmy Laybourne

I can't remember exactly what the context of this picture was, but it was a fun and entertaining moment

The Book Trailers
Each author's book trailer was presented before they talked a little bit about their book

Signing Their Books
Anna from Peace, Love, Teen Fiction

Look I got a picture of Daniel Marks again author of Velveteen coming out in October

A few of the girls posed for me while they were signing my books

Group Photos

They are so fierce with two other bloggers Benji and Sarah

All the girls holding up the awesome book necklaces Anna made for them all

In summary the event was AWESOME and I really hope they all will come back to Seattle for future book tours. I hope you enjoyed the photos that I took.

The Books
All the books I took with me to get signed at the event. The four most current ARCs, plus a finished copy of every authors book. The second copy of Struck and Cinder are for a friend that couldn't make the event.

Spring Into the Future Event Recap

SPRING INTO THE FUTURE EVENT
Tahereh Mafi, Veronica Rossi, Cynthia Hand & Kimberly Derting
May 5th 2012
UW Bookstore in Millcreek

I took a lot of pictures while at the event, I did have a few more, but these were the best ones.

The book displays at the bookstore

This event was so awesome, I loved meeting Tahereh and Veronica for the first time and seeing Cynthia and Kimberly again. The energy of the event was so much fun and very entertaining.

Talking about their books
 Veronica Rossi & Kimberly Derting

 Cynthia Hand & Tahereh Mafi

The Q&A session
I didn't even try to remember the questions and answers, that would be way too hard with this many authors.  There was lots of good questions asked that all of the girls each answered.

The Fans
My seat has all the extra crap under it. I got there 45 minutes early to get that seat. Guess who also was there, Daniel Marks debut author of Velveteen, can you see him?

Getting all prepared for the signing part. Each had some swag to giveaway.

Tahereh and Cynthia pre-signing the posters while Veronica started the signing line

The girls and Jorge
fellow book lover

This may seem really random, but this is Tahereh's purse. I saw it when she made her appearance and I just loved it. At the end of the signing I just had to ask her if I could take a picture of it. Too freaking cute!

Signatures
All the cool swag we got
Bookmarks for Rossi and Hand (I forgot to add Derting's bookmarks because I got it last week and didn't pick up any this week), a poster signed by all the girls and Tahereh's friend made a specialized necklace for the event.

The books I got signed at the event, all have been personalized

I really loved this event and I hope I will see all of them again when their next books comes out. They were all so sweet and amazing. I will always recommend all of these girls books to everyone that will read them.

Did you get to meet them at one of their tour stops?
