Bookography (14)

s a fun new way to share the beauty of books with photography. Take a picture with the book being the focus or inspiration and share the picture(s) you have created for the week.

Poems of Early Childhood (Picture)
Walt Disney's Treasure of Childhood Classics (Golden Castle)
The Wizard of Oz (1963 Edition)
Brothers Grimm Complete Fairy Tales (Corner Book)

When I was trying to decided what I wanted to take a picture of this week, I knew I wanted to look at my nursery rhyme book and see which little rhyme I wanted to use. When I saw this picture I just thought it was perfect for my idea of setting up stacks of children books in disarray. When I was editing the picture I wanted reminiscing and whimsical emotions when looking at the picture.. I toned down the colors a little and added the white vignette.
Camera Update
I finally have decided which camera I want to get and I decided I will just use a kit lens to start with. I am going to get a Canon 60D DSLR with EF-S 18-135mm lens. I am going to get it from the website I linked because shipping if free and there is no tax as well. I'm hoping I will be getting the camera within a few weeks, so I can go through part of this class with my new camera. Otherwise I am going to have to remember my lessons as much as possible and relearn with the new camera.
If you would like to participate please do. I will try to post my Bookography post each week on Wednesdays. I would love if you would link back to my blog and share your own link in the comments.

Oh I love your picture this week. With the fading (I don't know the technical term) and the focus on the children's books, plus the coloring, make it feel just so magical.

Your camera is a good one. I think my mom bought a similar one. (She's a photographer and artist so she knows the good cameras while I use my phone.) But I bet you'll be able to take some amazing shots with it. I would love to see some photos from around your area, I bet it gets so green.

I hope you get the camera soon so you can have it for your class. But it sounds like you found something passionate to do and you have just such a great eye for it!

@Fiktshun Thanks, that is just what I was going for.

I can't wait till I get the camera, I am getting so antsy to apply what I learned in class to the camera. Yes it is very green (well except the trees that change)

I am really loving and enjoying photography. It is hard to start from scratch needing bodies, lenses, flashes and everything else that goes with it. Good things Christmas is coming up, I'm putting many things that are reasonable prices on my list.
