Chronicling the rise of
the Keepers, this is the stunning prequel to Andrea Cremer's
internationally bestselling Nightshade trilogy!
Sixteen-year-old Ember Morrow is promised to a group called Conatus after one of their healers saves her mother's life. Once she arrives, Ember finds joy in wielding swords, learning magic, and fighting the encroaching darkness loose in the world. She also finds herself falling in love with her mentor, the dashing, brooding, and powerful Barrow Hess. When the knights realize Eira, one of their leaders, is dabbling in dark magic, Ember and Barrow must choose whether to follow Eira into the nether realm or to pledge their lives to destroying her and her kind.
With action, adventure, magic, and tantalizing sensuality, this book is as fast-paced and breathtaking as the Nightshade novels.

The cover is alright...I'm just not a fan of the new covers. I wish they had stuck with the originals. I'm excited to see if we get some questions answered, but I doubt it :p
I like how the girl looks very fierce, like she can take on the world by herself.
I want to know how the witches and the shifters got into war in the first place. The cover is alright although it doesn't look "historical" but modern, nevertheless I love Andrea Cremer.
I like the cover but I'm not in love with it. The girl looks like she can kick some butt. Fierce. I'm excited to read but first I need to finish the entire Nightshade trilogy.
I've had Nightshade on my TBR pile for...forever??? I'd love some inside information before I start, though I do enjoy learning some secrets after the fact.
I also love the original covers, I favor the paperbacks, but I think she's kick ass and I like the blurb. Looks great.
I love this cover bc the girl looks so fierce. I'm really excited to learn more about the story behind the Nightshade world. Thanks for the chance to win!
I'm really excited about the whole setting and the lore behind Andrea's previous books, their history. What's great is all the magic - it sounds awesome!!
The cover really symbolizes who strong the main character is:)
Thanks so much:)
I love the cover! She has red hair and looks badass!
I'm excited to find out some answers to why thing are the way they are! I like the cover. She has the look like, don't mess with me. She looks like she can handle whatever's thrown her way.
I like the cover and I am looking forward to reading this
