Bookography (6)

Bookography

Is a fun new way to share the beauty of books with photography. Take a picture with the book being the focus and share the picture(s) you have created for the week.

Book
Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen

Garden Spell

I actually didn't edit any of this photo on the computer, nor did I use the manual setting on my camera. I used a pre-programed setting called Color Accent. You highlight the color you want to show up and than you can increase or decrease the intensity of the chosen color. I haven't actually used this setting in awhile, but I'm glad I remembered it.

I finally ordered a Photoshop, I decided on Lightroom 3 since my class does require obtaining a 30 day free trail of it. I figured I might as well just get it now so I can play around with it before the class. I hope I will get it sometime next week.

If you would like to participate please do. I will try to post my Bookography post each week on Wednesdays. I would love if you would link back to my blog and share your own link in the comments.

Oh this is really beautiful. I love the color accent. Make sure you have some kind of note that copyrights these photos for each post, because they are gorgeous and I can totally see people wanting to use them if they find them on Google images.

It's so interesting that the cover picture and the garden you have the photo in, just have such a similar feel.

I'm so glad you're playing around in Photoshop. I can't wait to check out next week's post.

@Fiktshun Thanks. Yes I need to do a copy right things for the photos, thanks for the tip. So far I have taken pictures 2 of 4 books Sarah has written, the titles and covers are so perfect.

@Casey Thanks, I am really enjoying doing this feature, I'm hoping it will be what sets me apart from other blogs.

@vvb32 The color accent is a fun feature to play with. When I was walking around the Chinese Gardens in Portland I was playing with it a lot.
